The Depot hopes you’ve had a great semester so far and that you are looking forward to having a safe and happy spring break!

Leases are flying off the shelf for next year. If you would like to renew and haven’t yet, know that you have a limited time to secure a $500 incentive off your September rent for renewing your lease. This deal won’t last long!

We are still running our $250 refer-a-friend special (see community events for a way to secure Cedar Point tickets in the month of March) as well as the $150 4×4 fill special if you and your roommates fill an entire four-bedroom apartment. These incentives will also be applied to your September rent.

Maintenance Tips

Maintenance asks that you remember to clean out the lint traps in your dryers after every use and to run your dishwasher at least once a week to avoid buildup in the line. Also, if a smoke detector battery needs to be changed in your unit, please let us know so we can ensure they are in good working order.

Continue to submit any work orders that you may have for your apartment at The Depot. Our maintenance team wants to assist you quickly with your concerns and works from a preventative approach. Submit these work orders online, or stop in and see us in the leasing office and we’ll help you.

We appreciate your patience in February as we had some unforeseen building walk-throughs take place. We work hard to avoid disruptions in your units.



Reminders & Updates

Reminder: Rent is due on the 1st of every month, no matter what day of the week the 1st falls on. Please keep in mind that if you drop a check in the rent dropbox after 5:00 p.m., we won’t receive it until the next day, which may make your payment late. Late fees begin to accrue on the 4th of every month at $35 for the first day and $5 every day after. We encourage you to plan ahead and have your payment here well in advance to avoid late fees.

The future resident spaces on S. Broadway Street are for the sole use of prospective Depot residents. If you or your guests are using those spaces incorrectly, vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense. The same applies to all fire lanes around the building.

You are responsible for your guests at all times when they are on the property. They are required to follow all rules and regulations during their stay. Damages of any kind, as well as conduct unbecoming of the community by a guest, will fall to the lease-holding resident. We encourage you to escort your guests at all times and monitor their behavior to avoid lease violations.

The Depot encourages you to work with your roommates to avoid electric overages in your unit. Note that electric charges are posted to your account in the middle of the month. You’ll receive an email once they have been posted. It is your responsibility to log in to your resident portal and identify if overages exist and make payments on your account to avoid late charges.

We have been continuing to work hard to provide you the best possible living experience. If you should have any concerns related to your stay with us, please stop by the leasing office Monday–Friday from 10 a.m.–7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m.–5 p.m., or Sunday from noon–5 p.m. You may also contact us after hours at (234) 738-0080.


Relay For Life

Nearly all of us have been affected by cancer in some way. If you want to make a difference by raising awareness and funds to fight cancer and support survivors, we want your help! Relay For Life is the world’s largest cancer fundraising event, and we would love for you to join our team! Campus Advantage is a national team partner with Relay For Life, and thanks to you, we have raised over $150,000 to date for this great cause. If you have ever participated, you know it is an incredibly meaningful, memorable, and fun experience.

Every Relay For Life event is made up of volunteers forming teams to spend 24 hours together around the track raising money to eradicate cancer. Every team brings its own special energy to the event by hosting on-site fundraisers, creating campsites, and enjoying each other’s company while educating the community about cancer prevention. If this sounds like something you would like to participate in, please drop by the office and let us know!

How Does Cedar Point Sound? — All Month

Each week in March, residents who have renewed will compete in a refer-a-friend challenge. The person who has the most referrals signing new leases each week will win two Cedar Point tickets. New leases will have to list you as a referring party at the time of lease signing to count. Don’t miss out on the fun!


Want to Win a Pair of Cavs Tickets? — All Month

Each week in March, we’ll be giving away two Cavs tickets. How do you win? You can be entered into one of the weekly drawings by signing a renewal with us and making The Depot your home for the 2016–2017 leasing season.


March Madness: Tournament Begins March 15

Brackets are due to the leasing office by 5 p.m. on March 14. The person who has the most accurate bracket wins bragging rights, Depot swag, and Beats Headphones!
